We all know that rock chips are a real nuisance, but they don't have to be. If you get them repaired as soon as they happen, you will greatly reduce the chances of getting cracks spreading throughout your windshield. Cracks are the real problem here, and if you nip those rock chips in the bud, then you can avoid having to deal with them at all. They will destroy your windshield -- weakening it and getting in the way of your line of sight. A rock chip repair will cost you a lot less than having to replace your windshield and it only takes 30 minutes or less. If you were to replace your windshield, it would take you at least an hour, plus probably another hour or so before you can drive your car anywhere to give it time to cure. So don't ignore those rock chips-get them doctored right away!
